Nesco FD-1010 Dehydrator
If you are looking for a product that can dehydrate large quantities, look no further. This unit can expand up to 30 trays (if using greater than 12 trays you should consider rotating once during the dehydration cycle) and is powered by a 2400 RPM motor and a 4.5 inch fan. Drying times vary by food, but here are some examples - Fruit rolls 3-6 hours, Beef Jerky 4 hours, Apples 4-6 hours, Bananas 5-8 hours, Pineapple 4-6 hours. This unit has the drying element and fan in the bottom, which provides for a more consistent drying experience (but a slightly more time consuming clean up effort since juices drip down near the heating element). In addition, this unit has the highest rating of any Nesco product. The FD-1020 is the more advanced model above this and has a top mounted fan/heating element and a timer; however, the ratings are slightly lower.

• Vita-Save® Exterior - The opaque exterior blocks light to retain more of the food's nutrients and vitamins during the drying process.
• Dishwasher safe trays (if you wash them on the top rack and remove them prior to the drying cycle)
