Make Trail Mix With a Food Dehydrator

Dried Fruits and Nut Combinations To Try

Trail mix can be a great healthy snack food to make with a food dehydrator. Homemade trail mix is naturally sweet as dehydrating and reducing a fruit’s water content causes the natural sugars within the fruit to become more concentrated.

Unlike homemade trail mix, store bought trail mix can have lots of unhealthy additives. Extra non-natural sugars, unhealthy, fat laden palm and/or other bad oils and food dyes are common, unnecessary and unhealthful surprises added to store bought trail mix. Don’t buy store trail mix, experiment drying the below dried fruits and nuts in a food dehydrator and create your own trail mix. Most importantly, you will control what goes into your trail mix.

Experiment, mix and match the below dried fruits and nuts to make great homemade trail mix.
