Why Dehydrate Food In A Food Dehydrator?
Reasons Why Food Drying Is A Great Idea
By food-dehydrator.com
Why Dehydrate Food?
Save money. Buy food on sale, in bulk purchases, buy additional fruits and vegetables in season and or use all of your garden harvest. Use a food dehydrator to preserve the extra food and save money.
Great taste. In particular, drying fruits reduces the water content concentrates the fruit’s natural sugars and makes each bite a mouth watering burst of flavor.
Dehydrating is easy. There are three basic steps – wash, slice and dry. Food dehydrating is much easier than canning or freezing.
Save Space. Dried Foods substantially shrink as 80 to 90% of their water content is removed during dehydration. This makes dehydrated foods easier and smaller to store versus canned or frozen foods.
Dried foods are healthy. Drying largely preserves nutrients and enzymes and, unlike processed food, does not contain additives or preservatives.
